I recently came across a Silk Factory in Dalat and a Silk Village in Hoi An. This got me very interested in silk production so in this video we first look at silk production in general and then we try to understand how a machine that’s used for reeling silk works.
This is my first ‘travel documentary’ and it shows because my choice of lens, focus, framerate, etc is often not great, I’m not used to having to do that quickly. It will be better in the next one 😉
I captured the footage about the first part of the video (sericulture) in the Silk Village in Hoi An. It’s well worth a visit if you’re in the area. The footage of the second part, the silk factory, was taken close to Dalat. Unfortunately, I don’t remember the exact name of the place. It, however, one of the standard stops of some of the tours you can do there.
